Those not lucky enough to play Overwatch on PC are missing out on the Public Test Region server. Essentially this is where new additions and ideas are placed in order for the community to try it out on a massive scale before pushing whatever it is onto official game modes. Beta. It’s just a glorified beta. For months now the Steam community has been able to try out the new Oasis map that has similarities to the Numbani level and jump pads! Well, update 2.02 just hit the PlayStation 4 and can be downloaded at any time for players to experience the new area. As always you can view the new map ahead of time in the trailer above and read the official description below.
“Oasis is one of the world’s most advanced cities, a shining jewel rising from the Arabian Desert. A monument to human ingenuity and invention, researchers and academics from around the region came together to found a city dedicated to scientific progress without restraints. The city and its inhabitants are governed by the Ministries, a collection of brilliant minds who possess many secrets, which have attracted the interest of powerful organizations from around the world.”
Overwatch is developed by Blizzard Entertainment and was released on May 23rd, 2016 to much critical and commercial success. Even though the title only features dedicated online multiplayer, team based combat, variety of heroes, map design, and holiday events keeps gamers coming back for more. Definitely let us know how you enjoy the new map and if the jump pads bring back memories of old. In the meantime, we’re going to be using said pads for awesome Reaper Death Blossoms.
