It’s a slow week for new releases but there are a couple of gems that you should definitely be on the lookout for.
Easter weeks means lots of games are on sale, so that’s a good thing, but it also means very few new games are releasing, which is a bit of a bummer.
Not all is lost, though, as we’ve got a few standout games releasing this week and you would do well to take note.
Coming this Tuesday is Aspyr Media’s latest Star Wars re-release with Star Wars: Republic Commando for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. It’s not much more than an up-res with some minor tweaks to the controls, but it’s worth a play, even here in 2021.
If you want to play a game that’ll test your emotional strength, Stuart heartedly recommends Lost Words: Beyond the Page. It’s a moving story that plays out kind of like two games in one. It’s a bit of a curio, sure, but it’s worth a look.
And finally, my big recommendation this month is the new party games from Wide Right Interactive. What the Dub?! is almost a perfect game and it’s so simple to play. You dub over clips from awful old movies and try to make your mates laugh to secure some votes. It’s simple but honest-to-goodness fun. Definitely keep this one on your radar, but if you’re unsure about it, come back later this week for our review.
