New Render Modes Available in Doom Eternal

Announced in a quick video today, Doom Eternal will be receiving multiple new render modes to change the appearance of the game. These range from the tamer black and white contrast to the retro handheld giving everything a sickly green glow like a GameBoy. Included in the package are also a dots mode that looks interesting, VHS, retro console, and cinematic among others. My favorite is probably classic mode which shifts the perspective to looking more like the classic Doom visuals from my wasted youth.

It’s a nice upgrade if you are tired of killing demons and saving the world with crisp modern visuals and may even keep you playing until the first campaign expansion hits. Check out the trailer for a look at all the modes.
