No Man’s Sky Gets Another Update In Synthesis, VR Photo Mode Included

No Man’s Sky is unrecognisable now compared to launch. And it has grown into the fully fledged game that everyone wanted it to be. But that hasn’t stopped the team from expanding its horizons further with yet another update.

Hello Games, you do spoil us!

Now, you may be wondering what exactly Synthesis does – what with us already having a game changing array of updates this year. But I have to tell you, this patch is quite special – if only for the addition of a VR photo mode. That means you headset wearing space explorers can now get your creative groove on just as you can when your goggles are removed.

But that’s not all.

VR players will also be able to ride around on whatever wildlife is local to their particular area of visitation, which sure beats a donkey ride on a British beach in the harsh mid-summer.

Elsewhere, all players can now trade in their unwanted spacecraft for parts and custom outfit combinations can now be saved so you can switch styles on the fly. Finally, the UI has received a massive overhaul in order to make inventory management more intuitive. And the visuals of the space map have been given another polish. No Man’s Sky has really never looked so good!

The remainder of the changes, along with the accompanying photos, can be found here.

But whilst your waiting for Synthesis to download, how about telling us how you’re finding the game in VR? Do you think NASA has been making it look hard all this time for no reason?
