You’d think that a game that supposedly would take billions of years to be completed would need a lot of space on a mere mortal Blu-Ray disc, but that’s not the case.
According to Hello Games’ Sean Murray, No Man’s Sky only takes up around 6GB on a disc, and that much of that data is audio files from the game. Crikey, how’d they do that? We’ve got no idea as we’re not techno magicians, but it’s impressive anyway.
That’s not all though. After having worked to the bone to get the game ready and out the door, we’d have expected to find Sean and the gang down at the local pub getting sloshed. That’s not quite the case, or at least not yet, as the team is already busy working on ‘Update 1′ for No Man’s Sky. So, yeah, we can probably expect a Day One update for No Man’s Sky.
No Man’s Sky will release on August 10th after having been delayed earlier this year. Rumour has it that Hello Games’ epic adventure will be supporting Sony’s new virtual reality headset, the PlayStation VR. We’ll see soon enough.
For all seven of our Chinese readers, here’s what the game looks like in Chinese (the below is Chinese, Mr Murray made an error.)

Wondering what it says? Something along the lines of ‘Travel Milestones’ – though our Chinese is very, very limited…

Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
