The cobwebs of Halloween may be packed away and replaced with fairy lights and Christmas trees, but Blair Witch doesn’t care for your festive vibes. You’re going to get scared, and you’re going to love it.
Lionsgate and Blooper Team have today released Blair Witch onto PS4 after a successful release on PC and Xbox One. From today, you can purchase the game digitally via the PlayStation Store, and if you’re a PS Plus member you can get a nice little 20% discount which brings down the cost of entry to £19.99. For everyone, it’s £24.99 and the regional equivalent.
Blair Witch isn’t simply the movie turned into a game, but is instead an original story set in 1996, inspired by the cult classic Blair Witch movie. The story is about a young boy who goes missing in the Black Hills Forest in Maryland. You take on the role of Ellis, a former cop, who investigates the disappearance with his trusty canine friend, Bullet. Things aren’t all they seem, though, and what starts as a stroll through the woods quickly turns into the stuff of nightmares. As expected, then.
The digital release of Blair Witch on PS4 comes with the “Good Boy Pack” that includes new skins for Bullet, new in-game phone games (no Angry Birds, it is set in 1996 after all) and new animations for Bullet, as well as wallpapers and content.
To celebrate the game’s release, Blooper Team and Lionsgate have released a launch trailer for the PS4 version of the game. It’s embedded up above; watch it, if you dare…
