There’s a new family-friendly game out today in the form Jumanji: The Video Game, based on the recent Jumanji movies featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Jumanji: The Video Games sees players on a quest to find the Jewels of Jumanji, all the while battling deadly enemies, dodging deadly traps in deadly catacombs and fighting through deadly city alleyways. It’s deadly.
You can choose from four playable characters, each with their own unique skills and weapons. What’s more is that you can buddy up and play with friends using the game’s split-screen multiplayer function, or go online and play with mates around the world. At the time of release, however, the online functionality isn’t available on PS4, but it will be coming in a patch due sometime this month.
“The day has finally come to release Jumanji: The Video Game into the wild and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Outright Games CEO Terry Malham. “Since the beginning of the project, we’ve been dedicated to bringing the fun-filled, epic adventure from these iconic films to our video game and can’t wait for the world to be part of the action”
To celebrate the game’s release today, we’ve got a brand new launch trailer for one more quick peek at the game before you go running through the jungle with your mates.
Jumanji: The Video Games is out now on the PlayStation Store as a digital download, and it’s also available as a physical disc in most good retailers. It’s budget-friendly, too, costing just £34.99
