Remember Overkill’s The Walking Dead? It’s not been in the limelight much since it was first announced, but now that the developer has a release window set, it’s all guns blazing on the promo front. Well, kind of.
The new Developer Diary for Overkill’s The Walking Dead is more of a starting pistol, but it’s a good start no less. The Developer Diary, which is embedded up above, doesn’t actually show any gameplay. However, we do get a look at what’s to come with some in-engine footage of Georgetown. It’s an interesting watch but keep your hype in check until there’s a bit more substance. This is more for the hardcore fans who will eat up any and all The Walking Dead info.
There’s no solid release date yet for Overkill’s The Walking Dead, but the studio has stated that it will release on PS4 later this year. There is a short trailer available to watch through here, so give that a watch if you haven’t already.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a four-player co-op multiplayer first-person shooter set in the post-apocalyptic The Walking Dead universe. Overkill has previous experience in the shooter genre with both Payday and Payday 2, so here’s hoping the good stuff makes its way to The Walking Dead while leaving the not-so-good stuff behind. We really hope it’s more than just Payday: The Walking Dead edition, but we’ll have to wait and see on that one.
