Full whack 4K games are a rarity on PS4 Pro, but we’ll soon get one of the greatest games to release on Sony’s PSP (PlayStation Portable) in true 4K on PS4 Pro.
Sony has announced that Patapon 2 Remastered will be releasing on January 30th for PS4 and PS4 Pro, and that those who play the game on the PS4 Pro will be treated to a full native 4K presentation. Granted, it’s not exactly a graphical powerhouse of a game, but it’s always nice to have nice things, isn’t it?
Now, if you’ve been living under a rock or on a Nintendo system for the last 15 years, you’ll probably be wondering what the hell Patapon 2 is. Simple, it’s a rhythm-based action platforming adventure. OK, maybe not so simple. But the game itself is easy to play and great fun, too.
You’ll lead your funky troops into battle across more than 30 stages. You’ll need to arm them with the right weapons and armour, and then put them in the best positions for the ensuing mission.
Patapon 2 Remastered also comes with some extra mini-games that weren’t in the original release, as well as “many more surprises in store”, according to the PlayStation Blog post.
