Patch 1.12 Finally Adds a Photo Mode to Death Stranding

Death Stranding

It turns out there was nothing to worry about when it comes to the provision of a photo mode in Death Stranding. That’s because it’s being added to the console version of the game in the latest patch to drop. So, it turns out there was no special treatment being given to PC users, after all – whether to encourage us to double dip or otherwise.

It’s always nice to think we’re all on the same footing, isn’t it? And that our pennies are worth as much as any other’s. It’s just a shame we thought otherwise.

It wasn’t too long ago that the team behind Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece confirmed the feature was in-bound. And now, here I am, writing about its arrival. So, kudos to them for their commitment in keeping the peace. However, was our cynicism founded when we heard of it being available on the PC release and hearing nothing of the same for the PlayStation 4? Or should we learn to have a little more trust in these commercial companies? They are, after all, little without us gamers, which means it’s in their best interest to keep things civil and fair.

Well, unfortunately, I think it’s fair to say we’ve seen a number of unfair practices over the years. So, airing our “concerns” at least guarantees we’re heard in good time and have an opportunity to steer the studios in the best direction. It’s just a shame Sega don’t think the New Game+ option is a standard feature nowadays…

Anyway, Patch 1.12, which contains the photo mode, is available to download now. And it only asks for 1GB of your internet cap. So, go update your game and snap away to your heart’s content. For you have waited long enough!
