After multiple delays, Pixel ripped 1989, the nostalgic multi-dimensional romp through video game history is finally getting released tomorrow, July 31, for PlayStation VR. Unfortunately, the EU version of the game is temporarily delayed.
For the rest of us, you’ll play as Nicola, a video game loving second-grade student. Using her trusty 8-bit portable console, Nicola must help video game character Dot save the world from the evil Cyblin Lord, a villain capable of breaking from its 8-bit console into the real world.
In this game-within-a-game, you’ll control Nicola, who controls Dot as she navigates a retro 2D world while avoiding pesky teachers and other annoying adults in her own 3D world.
For those of us in North America, if you purchase Pixel Ripped 1989 in the next few hours, you’ll enjoy a 20% preorder discount and only pay $19.99. Check back with us at Pure Playstation for our review of Pixel Ripped 1989 shortly.
