Pixel Ripped 1989 Pink Cassette Physical Edition Releases April 12th and There are Only 1500 Copies

Arvore and Perp Games have announced that the release date for the extremely limited edition of the fantastic Pixel Ripped 1989 will release on April 12th, 2021. There are two editions releasing in physical form on this date, and one of them is a little bit special.

The Pink Cassette Physical Edition will be available exclusively via Perp Games’ online store for £29.99, while the standard version of the game will also be available on disc for £19.89. Perfect.

The Pink Cassette edition is limited to just 1500 copies, so if you want one, you’re going to have to act fast and lock your pre-order in before they’re all gone. Pre-orders are open on the Perp Store from today. The regular edition is also available exclusively via the Perp Store, but it’s not limited to 1500 copies, but will instead be produced and sold for as long as there is a demand for it.

So, what does your £29.99 get you? A really cool package, that’s what. You’ll get a disc version of the game presented in an authentic 80s style game box that includes a retro pink cassette USB drive that contains a bunch of digital goodies including the soundtrack, some wallpapers, and exclusive artwork for the game. You’ll also get a limited edition set of three postcards with one of them being signed by the game’s original creator and Game Director, Ana Ribeiro. Fantastic stuff for collectors, then.
