Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters Haunts PS5, PS4 on April 29th

Slimey times ahead

Planet Coaster: Console Edition is getting a couple of new expansion packs this week and one of them is truly spooky.

Frontier Developments has announced today that it will be releasing two new expansion packs for Planet Coaster: Console Edition. The big one is Planet Coaster: Ghostbusters, which will feature the voices of Dan Aykroyd and William Atherton in a brand new narrative-driven scenario. As well as nabbing a couple of the actors from the movies, the pack also adds authentic scenery and sound effects from the original Ghostbusters movie. Slimer, Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Ghostbusters HQ, and even the famous ECTO-1 will be available for players to tinker with to make the ultimate Ghostbusters park.

There’s a mini-game, too, where players can take a ride on the haunted coasters and fire Proton Packs to capture ghosts and ghouls. Not your standard activity in a theme park management game, but we’ll take it!

The second pack is the Studios Pack which brings heart-stopping stunt shows, cinematic thrill rides and more to get guests’ blood rushing. There are over 90 new blueprints in the Studios Pack, hundreds of scenery items and three new exciting rides.

The packs will release on April 29th. The Ghostbusters pack will cost $14.99/€14.99/£12.99, while the Studios Pack will go for $9.99/€9.99/£7.99. The packs will be available on all console versions of Planet Coaster, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
