Play A Boy Trying to Discover Himself and Save an Entire People in Yonder

Developer Prideful Sloth and Publisher, Stride PR, announced today a game featuring a small boy wandering a lush land known as Gemea. The open-world adventure is titled Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles and is made by former Activision producer, Rocksteady artist, and a Rocksteady programmer. It tells the tale of the hero exploring an island and uncovering its secrets and mysteries while embarking on a journey of self-discovery. You’ll also be saving the people of Gemea from the Murk by teaming up with natives, sprites, and other ethereal creatures. There will also be side activities such as farming, crafting, cooking, fishing, and brewing to further develop relationships with the local people.

Yonder features exploration and adventure inspired by classic fantasy franchises, and blends them with fully fleshed out but entirely optional farming gameplay,” said Cheryl Vance, co-founder and lead designer, Prideful Sloth. “Adventure fans will instantly recognize Yonder’s mechanics, which are unified in a wholly original way, while finding themselves enraptured in the gorgeous animated world.”


The time frame for Yonder’s arrival is sometime in Q2 of 2017. However, you probably guessed it but, it will be playable at PlayStation Experience 2016 at booth B2502. You can view the announcement trailer above full of sweeping shots and emotional narration.
