Ubisoft is having a busy few weeks, having only just finished its For Honor Beta and starting Ghost Recon Wildlands’ in just a few days. But don’t feel sorry for the publisher; it is the lucky parent of two of the most anticipated titles coming this year. The bigwigs may be running on caffeine but they’re surely loving every single minute of it, what with the pre-order numbers flying high and all that.
For those of you who signed up for the Beta, you can expect to find out if you’re a chosen one via email this week. If you happen to get your Hogwarts letter then congratulations, you’re in! Between February 3rd and 6th, you will be inserted into cartel-infested Bolivia and tasked with making the world a safer place. You can find your Beta access key here.
The Beta’s download size is estimated to be 25GB. Fortunately Ubisoft is sympathetic towards our mediocre connection speeds and is making it available for preloading from February 1st, 8am CET.
During the Beta, you will be operating in Itacua, one of the game’s 21 regions. The first few hours of main story missions and side activities will be available to enjoy either as a single player or with up to three friends in four player co-op mode (these friends are invited by and must be on the same platform as the Beta code redeemer). Wildlands’ character customisation and gunsmith features will also be available, along with access to the official Beta forum and portal.
Happy Ghosting! And let us know what you think.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is set for release on March 7th.
