The critically acclaimed demolition racer is coming to PS5 on June 1st, and it’s bringing some bells and whistles with it.
The over-the-top action of Wreckfest is about to get even more chaotic as developer Bugbear has just announced that it’s going next-gen on June 1st. It’s not a free upgrade for owners of the PS4 version, sadly, but you’ll get a fairly impressive slew of upgrades for your ten bucks. Check them out here:
- Dynamic dirt on vehicles
- Improved shadows, particles, and environment lighting
- Higher resolution textures
- Increased amount of foliage
- New visual effects for skidmarks
- DualSense haptic effects
- Much faster loading times
Additionally, they also suggest it will deliver 4K resolution at a silky smooth 60 frames per second. This version will also feature multiplayer with up to 24 players, for even more chaos and carnage on the race tracks. As mentioned, this upgrade will cost you $10 dollars, but if you’ve been waiting for the next-gen version, it will be available both digitally and as a retail box for $ 39.99 / € 39.99 / £ 34.99.
