Star Wars day was a big opportunity for Sony to bring some force-sensitive games to PS Now, but the opportunity has been fumbled. We’re still getting some decent games, though, so not all is lost.
Sony has announced today which games will be joining PS Now this month and it’s still a poor offering of just three new games. To be fair, though, the games in question are more than decent.
Streets of Rage 4, which I highly recommend, will join PS Now alongside Nioh and Jump Force. However, there are a couple of caveats. Streets of Rage 4 will stay on the service until November 1st while Jump Force leaves a little earlier on August 2nd.
That’s more than enough time to complete both games thoroughly, though Streets of Rage 4 will be receiving DLC and content updates throughout this year, so you may miss them if they release the wrong side of November 1st.
It’s also worth noting that Nioh will not be the PS5 version of the game if you’re on the new console. Much like Marvel’s Avengers, Nioh on PS Now will only be the PS4 version of the game, regardless of where you play.
If you prefer to stream rather than download your PS Now games, be sure to keep an eye out for higher resolutions for game streaming on PC, PS4, and PS5. Soon, PS Now games will be able to stream in 1080p, depending on your connection. It could be that you’ll be able to stream these new additions in full HD.
