If you’re still stuck a little in the past and the PS3 is your go-to gaming system, you’re in for a little treat today. Sony has released a new software update for the decade-old console with update version 4.81.
What does PS3 update 4.81 do? Well, nothing special is the answer. In fact, it’s just another stability update, though Sony has re-worded the usual patch notes to read “This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.”
It’s a fairly small update too, as it’ll only run you around 200mb of your dusty PS3’s hard drive.
Fair play to Sony for continuing to push out updates for the console, though we don’t imagine there will be any sweeping changes coming before the platform holder ceases support for the old girl.
