Yesterday Sony announced that system firmware update 3.50 for PS4 would be releasing sometime today: that time has come, dear readers. If you’ve got auto downloads enabled on your PS4 then you’ll probably find that the update has already started downloading automatically, depending on your region.
If not, then you can go to the ‘Settings’ menu on your PS4 and check for the system update. Once it has been found you can then download it. Easy peasy.
So, what does PS4 update 3.50 actually do? Well, first and foremost it allows you to remote play your PS4 on your PC or Mac, though there are some limitations. It also allows streaming to Daily Motion. Update 3.50 also allows you to create events with friends for specific games, as well as appear offline. You know, for when you’re feeling anti-social and just want some ‘you’ time.
