PS5 Firmware Update 20.02-02.50.00 Fixes PS4 Disc Upgrades

Sony has released a new system update today for the PS5 and it is version 20.02-02.50.00 and it comes in at 868MB download.

But what does the nee PS5 update do? Well, for one, it fixes a long-standing issue with PS4 disc upgrades that has plagued users since launch. There’s also some tweaks to editing video clips in Share Factiry Studio, as well as the standard stability update

The full patch notes are down below:

  • The following issue was resolved: The PS4 version of the game was sometimes installed from the PS4 game disc even after upgrading the disc version of a PS4 game to the PS5 version.
  • You can now select and edit video clips using Share Factory Studio from your media gallery.
  • This system software update improves system performance.
