PS5 consoles have been notoriously hard to buy since releasing last year, but new stock is on the way and if you’re quick, you could have a PS5 console before the end of the month.
Where can I buy a PS5? That’s a question I regularly get asked by my nitwit friends, and although I could answer them directly now, I won’t. Instead, I’ll share that information with you dear readers. You never send me weird and disturbing videos in a WhatsApp group chat at four in the morning.
So, you want to get your hands on a PS5 but there’s no stock anywhere. It’s been the same story for months now but things are looking up.
Retailers in the UK are getting fresh shipments of Sony’s next-gen PS5 console and they’ll be ready for sale this week, according to one popular stock tracking Twitter account.
No stock expected this weekend, however, most of Februarys drops are happening mid month so next week we should see alot more drops from retailers you’ve waited for.

There’s no indication as to when the stock will go live, whether it will be online-only, in-store only, or both. Given the coronavirus restrictions in the UK, it would be safe to say that most stock will end up on retail websites. This is good and bad; on one hand, you don’t need to leave the house. On the other, you can’t exactly queue in a traditional manner (anyone else camp out for a PS2 back in the day?) so you’ll be at the mercy of the internet gods.
You may find a PS5 on Amazon UK, only for it to disappear before you’ve had the chance to click the “Send Jeff My Money” button. Then it’s back to months of waiting, hoping, and praying for a PlayStation miracle and trying your best to ignore all of the awesome PS5 news coming out every day.
Your best bet is to camp on the internet all day, every day. It might seem impractical, but ask yourself this: where are you now, buddy?
