How’s this for a bloody bargain? Ubisoft’s The Division 2 has had its price cut down to just $2.99 on the North American PlayStation Store. And no, it’s not a price error, it’s an actual offer by Ubisoft.
Ahead of the game’s next big expansion, Ubisoft has drastically cut the cost of entry to $2.99 on the North American PlayStation Store, though it is only on the North American store. Us lot here in the UK and Europe aren’t as blessed, though you can still pick the game up for less than a tenner.
What’s more is that if you’re looking for a physical copy, North American GameStop stores are flogging the looter-shooter for just $5. What is this madness? Well, we know that Ubisoft wasn’t particularly happy with how The Division 2 performed sales-wise, so this could be a ploy to draw in more players ahead of the game’s return to New York City. The Division 2 takes place in Washington D.C, and while it’s nice and all, many players have commented that the game’s map just isn’t as interesting as the first game’s setting in The Big Apple.
The deal will run until March 3rd when the next expansion, Warlords of New York, officially releases, so if you want to get involved in The Divison 2 at this mental price, you’ve got a couple of weeks to jump in on the deal.
