[Updated 16:15 GMT – Things seem to be falling back into place. I’ve personally been able to play a few rounds of Firewall Zero Hour and Down Detector shows very few issues being reported by other users. Hooray!]
If you’re trying to get some online gaming in right now on PS4, you’re probably having a few problems. That’s because the PSN is also having problems, and it’s affecting friends lists, online gaming, and messaging.
I’d actually thought this was just my PS App (Android) being a bit of a nuisance, but a quick check on Down Detector and Twitter shows I’m not the only one running into a block when trying to play online or message buddies.
The official PlayStation Status site, however, says that everything is hunky dorey, but that’s not the case. At the time of writing (14:27 GMT), things are just not working as they should. Hopefully this isn’t going to last too long, so stick around and I’ll update this article as and when needed. It’s not like I have anything better to do now anyway…
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
