Review. That’s the word of the month here in the Pure Playstation HQ as we strive to bring you – our charming audience – as many reviews as we possibly can. We’ve exceeded our expectations for the month already, but that doesn’t mean we’re planning on slowing down. Not by a long shot, in fact we already have a few reviews planned for next week. You can check out all of our reviews right here. Otherwise welcome back to Pure PlayStation Plays, our weekly Friday feature in which we – the Pure PlayStation team – gather together to tell you what we’ll be playing this weekend. For the second week in a row we have a new writer contributing so welcome Jason, and as always let us know what you’ll be playing down in the comments.
I will be getting back to some quality time with Doom. Those demons never learn.
This weekend I will be playing the Banner Saga which I purchased a few days ago and would highly recommend to anyone interested. It’s a nice laid back game to play and kill some time with. The only downside is a distinct lack of voice acting, resulting in you having to do a lot of reading. Although it’s definitely not a deal-breaker. As well as this I will be playing some Rocket League and whenever that gets frustrating swapping to Overwatch… and then back again… and to Overwatch again, you get the gist of it.
Gauntlet is what I’ll be playing. I have no idea what it is, but I got it free with PlayStation Plus a few months back and a friend told me it was good. I haven’t jumped into a game in a while without knowing anything about it, so this could go really well or awfully. Either way let the co-op begin!
Is No Man’s Sky out yet? No? Damn. Why do you make me write this when the anticipation is killing me. I guess I can force myself to play Rocket League and NBA2K16 again with friends and followers. Although a new contender in the form of Ninja Pizza Girl will occupy my time. Be sure to read our review of that awesome game.
Conor is Pure PlayStation’s resident Irishman. Naturally that means he’s constantly slurring his words and turning up stinking of Guiness with a potato in his pocket. It’s not all bad though, because Conor is also a PlayStation nut. When he’s not doing his best Father Jack impression (Father Ted, watch it) he’s got a DualShock 4 in his hand and a Vita in the other. Yeah, we don’t know how he manages it either.
