Pure PlayStation Plays: Week 148

You’ve spend the week waiting for it and now that the weekend is here, you don’t know what to do with yourself. It’s a problem I often endure and so I look to my dear Pure PlayStation colleagues for inspiration.

Each week we all share our weekend gaming plans and put them in this little article. I tend to wait until everyone else has put their submission through so I can steal some of their plans, or just find inspiration in what they’re doing. If you’re struggling to fill your gaming schedule this weekend, I invite you to Do A Chris and take inspiration from the Pure PlayStation gang. Here’s what we’re up to this weekend. No, we’re not going to the beach. That image up top is purely there because it makes me giggle. Enjoy!

The weather is horrible so I’ll be staying firmly put indoors. Unfortunately I won’t be spending the entire weekend with my bum on the couch and a controller in hand, but when I do I’m guessing that controller will take the shape of the PSVR Aim peripheral as I take on the world in Firewall Zero Hour. It’s my pleasure.

I’ll also be having one last crack at Dirt Rally 2.0 before getting a review out early next week, and I’ll be making moves on a few other games I need to review. It’s a hard life, but somebody has to live it…

Kyle Durant

Now that one of the very few good Call of Dutys has been made free for all PS Plus members, that will occupy a large amount of my weekend. I’m already settling back in nicely as I go on 10+ killstreaks with regular consistency and coming up clutch for my team.

Max Taylor

I’ll be playing Beat Cop for review. I have also finally finished Ni No Kuni 2 so I’m going to take a break from that before returning to grab the platinum. Next I’ll be taking on Persona 5 which looks like it will require an even more exhausting investment. Wish me luck!

Stuart McLean

I’ve decided to dip back into Assassins Creed Odyssey after getting so far and giving up earlier in the year having finally got the behemoth that was Red Dead Redemption our of the way. Between that and a few other nameless games on some other shall not be named consoles, that’s about my weekend covered!

Hannah Ellis

I’ve finally managed to get my hands on Yooka Laylee for a steal so I will be spending the weekend in a colourful daze. Thing is, I may not be able to return to drab reality come Monday…

Jason Frye

I will be playing a little more of the beta for Warhammer: Chaosbane to continue building up my mage. Before I play the COD remake, I want to check out The Witness. Unfortunately, I’m more blunt force than clever, but, with a little inspiration from Max, maybe I can convince my smarter half to help me solve the puzzles. If thinking too much hurts my head, I’ll roam the peaceful wilds of Montana in Far Cry 5 with a gun in my hand, shooting anything that moves or doesn’t move fast enough.

And that’s what we’re up to this windy weekend. Jeremy wanted to share his plans, but he’s afraid of being judged. Look, Jez, we love you as yourself and as your drag alter-ego, Jizzy Jezebel.
