‘Tis the season to eat choccy, tra la la la la, la la la la… Yes, it’s the Easter Weekend! For many of us it means a nice extra long weekend, for others… Not so much. But we’ll eat our share of chocolate for them, right?
As it’s a long weekend, it means there’s extra time for gaming. It’s a great chance to catch up on some games that have been left in the backlog for far too long, and maybe even try out a few new games thanks to the numerous PSN Easter Sales that Sony is treating us to. Whatever you do, have fun. Eat plenty of chocolate and play plenty of games. What more is there to say?
Here’s what we’re up to on this lovely weekend:
I’m going to spend my weekend getting fat and playing games. In fact, I may turn the eating into a game. When I’m not piling on the calories and taking days off of my life, I’ll be hitting the snooker halls in Snooker Nation Championship 2019 with my co-workers, and maybe shooting them in the back in Firewall Zero Hour. I’ve also got a few more levels to polish off on Angry Birds VR, so be on the lookout for a few reviews from me this weekend!
Between gorging myself on chocolate and hiding from the sun as we bask in a mini-heatwave here in the UK, I’m still having a really good time with My Time at Portia (read my review here!) so I’m currently crafting and exploring my way around that. I might even manage a few frames of snooker on Snooker Nation Championship 2019 with PurePlaystation’s fearless leader, or jump back in to the disappointment that is Kingdom Hearts 3 – the joys of a 4 day weekend! Decisions decisions!
It’s been a long few weeks full of frustration and disappointment, so I’ve decided to be selfish and treat myself to a weekend full of video games. I’ll probably double down on the selfishness and play some VR so I can hide behind the mask and pretend no one else is around. I’m still trying to finish Skyworld, but I’ll probably play some Ghost Giant as well. Hell, maybe I’ll try to get the boys together for some Firewall. Who knows?
I alas have a few essays left to finish so I’ll be working on those over the weekend. However, I’ll be making time to play Wolfenstein 2 has been on my backlog for ages. Its one of the most enjoyable shooters I’ve played in some time so I’ll be savouring that until the release of Days Gone which I’m now really hyped for!
I will be doing that old-fashioned thing of going out to a shop and buying a game. Thanks to Stuart I’ve already decided on My Time at Portia; the only question is, Switch or PlayStation?
Not much going on this weekend. Catching up on some backlog and definitely some Rocket League now that Rocket Pass 3 is live. Next weekend will be all about Days Gone though unless the reception absolutely bombs.
I will be trying to finish up my Zanki Zero: Last Beginning review (in short, it’s very, very good), and I will be spending some time in the 2nd beta for Warhammer Chaosbane. I look forward to sharing details on both soon. I also look forward to seeing if Bran keeps being a little creeper in the next episode of Game of Thrones. If he’s not careful, someone’s going to throw him out of a window.
Well would you look at that – a full house! What are you up to this weekend? Will you be worshipping the big JC, or will you be playing games and eating chocolate eggs? Or maybe all three? Let us know down in the comments below.

Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
