You could say today is the second May 4th of the year due to the release of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. But, alas, it isn’t one that is full of jubilation as the reviews are mixed – something we were probably expecting, yet hoping wouldn’t be true. It’s a difficult series to be entrusted with, owing to the loyal fan base and expansive lore. And one that appears to have tripped EA up. Yet it’s a game we’ll all be picking up before too long because we can’t resist the temptation.
Or are we just suckers for punishment? Yeah, perhaps it’s better you don’t answer that. Anyway…
Are you swinging a glow stick at the baddies this weekend? Or is your bath robe still in the wash? Force a comment into the box below, Jedi Junior, safe in the knowledge that I am not your father. At least, think so, I don’t.
I have a few PSVR games ongoing for review including zombie action shooter Contagion VR: Outbreak. That will get the bulk of my attention, but I did put a few hours into Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and I’ll no doubt put a bunch more time in this weekend. I’m finally getting good at Pistol Whip, so I’ll definitely make time for that. Besides, it’s the perfect game to play when you only have a few minutes to kill.
I have the weekend off from selling shoes! Yes!!! I’ve got some review to catch up and get pushed out, as well as a few new games to play. I won’t say what just yet, but come back and find the reviews over the weekend.
For my own enjoyment I’ll be playing some Firewall Zero Hour on PSVR, as well as the new PSVR zombie game, Contagion VR: Outbreak. I’ve also rediscovered my love for Mad Games Tycoon, so I’ll probably get nothing done and just end up playing that all weekend, before inevitably moaning on Sunday evening that I’ve wasted the weekend.
It’s Death Stranding for me. After a failed attempt last Friday under the influence of a few too many shandies, I realise that the few hours I played was in vain. I remember nothing.
This weekend I’ll be finishing up the Sparklite review and putting more time into The Outer Worlds. If I want to see a lot of spawn screens, I may give COD multiplayer another go.
Now that Death Stranding is unfortunately over, I need to either work on my backlog with Control, DMC5, and Aladdin/Lion King remaster or buy Star Wars Fallen Order. Help me decide will you?
I’m getting tattooed all day tomorrow so I’m stoked for that but Sunday I’ll probably be lazy and take some time to sweep up the remaining trophies in recent review games Spirit of the North and Golem (both of which will be up on the site soon).
With an assignment due in by the end of the month, I’ve got to be “talking the torque” by Monday. But with Ace Combat 7 and The Outer Worlds sharing a place on my desk alongside this tome of a textbook, I think it’s going to be a tall order.
