As you might have noticed, the PlayStation VR was released this week, and, although it was not quite what The Lawnmower Man promised, it seems to be a great first step. We are excited about the future of gaming, and we have posted our hardware review as well as some initial game reviews of Driveclub VR and RIGS with more to come soon.
Here is what we are playing this weekend. Be sure to let us know what you will be playing and if it will have VR in the title.
RIGS: Mechanized Combat League. All there is to this weekend.
My weekend has been a strategic one. I’m persisting with XCOM 2 despite it’s myriad technical issues, as it’s just awesome, and diverting myself with the tactical silliness of Worms W.M.D, which, again, awesome.
Postscript: what the hell is this VR everyone’s going on about?
I will be raiding tombs in Lara Croft’s horrible day part 2. I wondered if they could beat her up any more than the first game, and, just like everything else, they have upped the ante. She is basically an archaeological terminator.
Man. What a weekend I’ve been having. I’ve been lost in virtual worlds for a few days now and I’m still not really able to believe that PSVR works as well as it does. I’ve been the Dark Knight in Batman: Arkham VR. I’ve been terrified in Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, and I’ve been puking my guts up with DriveClub VR. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to traditional 2D gaming. Ever. (Yeah, I will. But only with the PSVR’s cinematic view!)

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
