Pure PlayStation Plays: Week 250 – 250 Weeks of Plays! Let’s Have a Giveaway!

Here's to the next 250...

Well, how about that, eh? The 250th edition should be a milestone, right? We should probably do something special to celebrate. How about… you get to the bottom of this page and find out how to win a PSN voucher.

For the 250th time, we’re telling you what we’re playing. Why? I don’t really know. I can’t remember the reason we started this. I think it was because back when Pure PlayStation was just a two-man team (myself and Connor) we needed something to fill the weekend gap. I suppose the why doesn’t matter, really. It’s an old habit now and we’ll carry it on for as long as the articles keep getting eyeballs on them. Here’s what we’re doing this weekend:

Chris Harding

I was going to play some PSVR games this weekend to do some video stuff for our sister-channel, Pure Play TV, but my headset is buggered. The wire is broken and I’m lacking the manly skills required to fix it. I’ve got another one on the way, but I really wanted to play some Astro Bot Rescue Mission with Charlie. Instead, I suppose we’ll make do with playing Minecraft and Plants vs Zombie: Garden Warfare 2.

Outside of my Dad-duties, I’ve got a handful (read: a mountain) of games to review. Some of them are decent, others are not. I won’t spoil the surprises so you’ll have to come back and see what I’m talking about.

And finally, in those moments between Dadding the boy and Dadding the site, I’ll play Ty the Tasmanian Tiger for fun. Oh, and Guitar Hero Live and Rock Band 4. I recently found all my plastic toys and I’ve been having a blast trying to regain that muscle memory. It’s kind of working…

Stuart McLean

It’s a weekend of clearing out the backlog for me, so my current plan is to blast through Rise of the Tomb Raider and make a decent dent in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, which I have just struggled to get into. I also have Bite the Bullet on for review, so keep an eye out for that.

Jeremy Peterson

After a week of chugging monster energy and playing Supercross 4 for review, I’ll probably spend most of the weekend playing Supercross 4. It’s pretty cool. I think I’ll stop drinking the energy drink though… haven’t slept since Tuesday.

Yasmine Jenna

I’ll be working on a review during the weekend, and I’m finding the game to be a pleasant surprise. However, I’ve been getting the bug to return to Ghostrunner. I still haven’t achieved the platinum yet, and I haven’t earned any platinum strips this year so perhaps this game will be my first entry.

My life has once again been taken over by Sleeping Dogs – the digital kind, that is, because the four-legged mobsters I live with don’t know what sleep is. It’s a game I’d love to see getting a PlayStation 5 revamp, but I’ll forego that request for a sequel. For now, though, I’ll gladly play the original.

Max Everett

Another weekend on the way without my consoles, so Candy Crush and PES Club Manager are in charge of getting me my gaming fix. It’s not all bad though, as I have discovered Google Play has achievements, which isn’t as exciting as I make it sound, I miss my consoles.

And that is what we’re playing this weekend. Oh, right, you’re here for the giveaway. Got ya. To celebrate 250 weeks of Pure PlayStation Plays, we’ll pick a random person to receive a £25/$25/€25 PSN card. Personally, I would have liked to have done £250/$250/€250, but the budget doesn’t stretch that far. Sorry!

To be in with a chance, you just need to follow Pure PlayStation on Twitter and YouTube, as well as follow Pure Play TV on Twitter. We’ll pick a winner on Monday and the winner will be chosen via Twitter, so make sure you are contactable!

Psst. We’re also hiring. If you’re interested, get in touch!
