What’s crackin’ gamers? It’s that time again where everyone at Pure PlayStation will be clocking off for the weekend and will start the serious business of the week…playing video games. For some of us, that means being adventurous and starting a whole new journey from scratch, and for others, it entails going back to some beloved classics and shutting off from the outside world.
If you feel so inclined, drop us a comment down below and let us know what you plan on playing this weekend, or you can leave us an insult about our questionable game choices, entirely up to you.
I’m resisting Moto GP 2021 at the moment because the DualSense controller is probably the better way to play it and I’m yet to grab myself the unicorn that is the PlayStation 5. But that’s fine because I’m currently being trounced by Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fuelled. And I don’t like losing by the margins we’re talking about here. So, my kart will be kicking up dust for many more hours to come, yet!
I’m still trying to complete Assassins Creed Valhalla before starting anything new (other than review duties) and I’m just finding it a grind – it feels too big, which normally I would love, plus I just don’t care enough about Eivor to feel invested in the story. With it taking so much space up on my PS5 I don’t want to delete it until I complete it as I know I won’t go through the hassle of installing it again.
Following my Neo Geo madness last weekend, I am back in the cold and not-so-warm arms of mobile gaming. Lack of gaming at least means I have been enjoying daily walks, which in turn allows me to turn the clock back for some Pokémon Go action.
I’ve rediscovered the PS Vita over the past few days, mainly because Charlie bullies me off to main TV during the daytime hours. I’m not complaining though; I’ve played FIFA on the Vita and even had a few rounds online in Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified. Killzone on the Vita is my plan for this weekend, and maybe a few cheap and cheerful Switch games in the recent sale.
Even though the PS3/PSVITA digital stores have been saved from the PlayStation’s graveyard (for now), it has reminded me there are plenty of games I need to snag up. I can’t believe I haven’t picked up God Hand or the House of the Dead 4 after all these years. So, I may have to go on a shopping bonanza sometime soon. Besides that, I’ll be putting down the PSVR headset as review duties have arrived. But if the latter is completed in an orderly manner, then you can bet your pretty little pennies I’ll be putting that little rascal of a headset back on. Astro, I’ll return to you soon, buddy!
