Pure PlayStation Plays: Week 267

While most of us can’t go to Amsterdam this weekend like our fearless Pure Games leader Chris, that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun. On second thought, I’ve never been to Amsterdam, but I still suspect he’s going to have more fun than the rest of us.

The only gaming I’ll be doing is on the train to Amsterdam as I go on a birthday retreat to my second favourite destination on Earth. If I do any other gaming, it’ll be in the casinos.

We’re experiencing another bout of decent weather here in the UK, so while part of me wants to get out and enjoy it another remembers that the sun really doesn’t agree with my pasty complexion so I’m better off staying in and playing games. On this weekends agenda I’m playing a few games for review, plus I’m tempted to return to Marvels Spider-Man just because it’s a great game and swinging around New York never ceases to be fun. Between that and watching the Euros it’s a pretty solid weekend ahead.

This week went by so fast I’m hardly prepared for the weekend. I think I’ll be finishing my second playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 and then I’ll start up my third as a sneaky Corpo since the game has been apparently fixed. Well, for every console but my old PS4 which will still have problems. If I’m not living my nomad fantasy then I’ll be working on reviews and finally just wasting hours on my Switch playing some Darkest Dungeons like I usually do.

The Genesis Event started earlier this week in Apex Legends, and I still haven’t got around to playing it. I’m looking forward to returning to the original Kings Canyon map, and strangely, it’s surprising how long the original map has been absent, considering at one point, this was the only map we ever had. Plus, I’ve always thought the initial layout of Kings Canyon was the best, or perhaps I’ve reached an age where I no longer like change…

It’s not as cool as going to Amsterdam but I think I’ll be heading to a zombie infested New Orleans to start my official replay of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners on the Quest. I played the PC version when it released, but I’ll be gunning for a new ending this time. I’ll still play as a good guy, because I just can’t help myself. I’m also hoping to find some time to play some Zero Caliber: Reloaded or Onward to get ready for the upcoming release of Elite Sniper VR.
