It’s been a busy week here in the Pure PlayStation HQ as we tried our best to cover as much E3 news as a three man team could. We were surprised that games like Middle Earth 2 and No Mans Sky were no shows. However, on the bright side we saw saw some pretty cool footage of games we didn’t even know existed like God of War, Resident Evil 7 and Days Gone. We also saw a little more gameplay of games we did know existed like Detroit Become Human and Horizon: Zero Dawn. However, those games are all a long ways off so this article will concentrate on what the Pure PlayStation team will be playing this weekend. Be sure to let us know what you’ll be playing down in the comments.
This weekend I will be continuing with the Uncharted collection that I plunged into last week. Currently I’ve completed the first instalment and am 4 chapters into the second. So far I have greatly enjoyed the storylines, cut scenes and banter between the characters. All in all I’m enjoying it a lot more than I anticipated. On top of this and for anyone who is unaware the first level of the newly released ‘DOOM’ is currently free as a demo. If you haven’t picked up the game yet perhaps getting to give it a go first will sway you, I know I’ll be giving it a shot.
This weekend I’ll be joining the Galactic Rangers in Ratchet and Clank. What I’ve played of the game so far has been a blast and the game looks absolutely amazing. It’s a remake of the first game/reboot of the series that has been made from the ground up for the PlayStation 4. While the massive visual update and new areas are great my favourite addition has to be the commentary given by Captain Quark as you play. It’s absolutely hilarious and my favourite addition to the reboot – although the holocards are a close second.
My weekend will be full of Ratchet Clank (thanks to it being super cheap on PSN) and some adventures in The Witcher 3, Fallout 4, and The Division. Yes, I’m playing three RPGs concurrently and it’s driving me insane – and I love it!

Conor is Pure PlayStation’s resident Irishman. Naturally that means he’s constantly slurring his words and turning up stinking of Guiness with a potato in his pocket. It’s not all bad though, because Conor is also a PlayStation nut. When he’s not doing his best Father Jack impression (Father Ted, watch it) he’s got a DualShock 4 in his hand and a Vita in the other. Yeah, we don’t know how he manages it either.
