Capcom just released a short, new trailer to remind you that Resident Evil 7 is available soon, and it is not a feel good, fuzzy game. The wording in the trailer talks about family and home with contrasting images that seek to disturb and disgust. Yeah, we like it.
With Resident Evil launching on January 24th, we are very close to seeing if this is truly the new direction for the series everyone has been hoping to see embraced, or if it will be more of the same. Even though we have had demos and videos, there is still a lot about the game we do not know.
We are cautiously optimistic for now, and we hope it is everything horror gamers want it to be.
What do you think? Has Resident Evil gone back to the drawing board to deliver a terrifying experience, or will it be the year’s first big disappointment?

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
