We can’t really say we’re spoiled when it comes to motorbiking games. But that’s not too big of a problem thanks to the Ride series, which consistently delivers a varied and realistic selection of two wheeled fun. And today it gets even better, thanks to a native PlayStation 5 release for Ride 4. That means you can pull a wheelie in full next-generation glory.

Its launch trailer can be found above. But just in case you are not in the mood for a movie-like video, here’s what you can expect:
- Dynamic resolution up to, and including, 4K.
- 60 frames per second rendering.
- DualSense controller support, relaying advanced haptic feedback so you feel the acceleration, braking and road vibrations like never before and “will push the gameplay experience in a new immersive way“.
But there’s more.
If you happen to own the PlayStation 4 copy of the game, you will be able to upgrade – for free – up until April 30th. Now, the time limit is obviously to stop everyone buying a pre-owned copy of the older release, and enjoying the next-generation leap forward at a fraction of the price, which is to be expected. But it’s still good to see it is an option.
Also, comments so far are very positive: players are saying the haptic feedback is a game-changer and that the load times are vastly improved. However, it is a separate trophy list (if that bothers you), so keep that in mind.
