History is written by the victor, and the victor is probably the person who hurled the most big rocks. Rock of Ages 3: Make and Break is giving everyone a chance to write their own history by trying it’s destructive and comedic gameplay in an upcoming open beta. Running from June 23rd – June 30th, players will be able to experience some of the campaign and some of the new player creation tools. Those tools will give you the power to create your own levels and share them with other players. It’s a first for the series.
The game is part tower defense and part guiding a boulder of mass destruction. The first half should lend itself to your more cerebral side, while the you that loved to knock over other people’s blocks will enjoy the second part. Modus Games is going for something lighthearted and fun with an art style that Monty Python would approve.
If you want to join the beta and want to be kept updated, you can sign up on the game’s site. If not, the open beta will start on June 23rd, and you can download it then.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
