Rust: Console Edition Looks Good in New PS4 Pro Gameplay

Rust: Console Edition is coming to PS4 and Xbox One later this year and we’ve got some gameplay straight from the developer running the game on PS4 Pro.

Double Eleven has released some raw, uncut gameplay footage of Rust: Console Edition running on PS4 Pro, and although the game is still some way from release – it’s due in the Spring – it’s looking quite good.

The gameplay video shows a bunch of players duking it in a frantic firefight before giving us a look at the game’s inventory menus, hand-crafted bases, and raids. It looks like mental fun but, and perhaps this is just next-gen Chris being spoiled here, but it’s disappointing to see that the game is not running at 60FPS, or at least the video showing the gameplay isn’t.

As the game will be compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, there’s a chance it could run at higher frame rates on the next-gen consoles, but we’ll have to wait and see. For now, just be happy that this uber-popular game is making its way to consoles at all.
