Sackboy: A Big Adventure was a surprise hit at the PlayStation 5’s launch. Not that I was too shocked by that fact given the enjoyment Little Big Planet brought to the sector. But now it is showing the big titles how it’s done again by making ‘PS4 to PS5’ save transfers possible. That means you can take your progress with you whenever you upgrade your hardware. However, that is not all the latest update does.
Also, bundled into the same patch is cross play capability, which allows you to play cooperatively with players on different platforms. The only question now is, who will you play with? I ask that because there is a limit to your social gaming – just like there is in real life.
You see, in total, three other yarn balls can join you on your adventure, which means you may have to cut a few strings loose. But you can at least return with your Dreamer Orbs intact. So, all is not lost. Well, except for any friendships that may have frayed. However, given the nature of the game, it wasn’t like it was going to have a football team of us shuffling through its levels. Even if that would be cool.
The new online multiplayer feature is shown off in the video above, along with some hairstyles I’m more than a little jealous of. So, be sure to check it out. Or better yet, go give the game a spin instead – it’s one of this year’s best releases!
