Saints Row The Third Remastered is the latest game to get a new release on the next-gen consoles, as well as a free upgrade for those who already own the game.
Deep Silver has announced today that it will be re-releasing Saints Row The Third Remastered on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with some next-gen enhancements, allowing the game to run equal to the game running on PC at High settings, according to the press release. This means the game will play at 60fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, along with higher resolutions (dynamic 4K), better textures, and improved visual effects.
On PS5, there’s no mention of DualSense support outside of the game providing the subtle glow of the familiar Saints Row purple hue. Better than nothing, right?
If you already own the game on PS4 or Xbox One, you’ll get the next-gen edition as a free update when it releases on May 25th, 2021. Otherwise, you’ll be able to buy the next-gen version of the game from that date.
I was on the job last year with Saints Row: The Third Remastered and I really enjoyed getting back to Steelport. You can read that review here or watch it down below, but be sure to come back next week to find out what’s what with the PS5 version.
