It pays to check the PlayStation Store on Friday afternoons, because there is a flash sale happening this weekend. Game prices will drop by up to 40%, and there doesn’t seem to be a theme this week. That’s OK – we don’t need a reason to save money on games. It just means we can skip selling plasma this weekend to afford them.
As for what you might find, there are some good games that hit the GOTY lists of some of my most trusted fellow writers here. From Jeremy’s list of top games, we have Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden (review), a mix of stealth and strategy with a talking duck for $24.49. From Hannah’s list of top games, we have Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition, a giant CRPG with plenty of dialogue and story for $35.99. It’s also receiving some new content today.
That’s just a taste of the hodgepodge of games offered in the flash sale, and you can see all of them here.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
