The debate about the value of a PS Plus membership will go on into infinity, but the latest sale proves that deeper discounts are for members only. Described on the PlayStation Blog (NA & EU), anyone with a PS Plus membership will get double the discount of the non-Plus. In the US, that’s 50%, and the EU will have up to 70%. Since I am passionate about the doctrine of cheap gaming, more savings equals more excitement. (I don’t get out much.)
Let’s dig into those sweet savings. (Just a note, the sale is going on in the US and Europe, but I’ll be quoting US prices throughout the article. That version of the PlayStation Blog gives me a table of pricing, whereas the EU one just gives me links to the store.) The MMORPG Black Desert has a couple versions for sale with cheapification on the pearl packs for the game too. If you want to play one of the best city builders around, Cities: Skylines also has a few bundles. For fighters, Mortal Kombat 11 has been punched and kicked down to $23.99, and Injustice 2 can save the world for only $9.29.
Here are a few decent picks for you to consider. For multiplayer, Overcooked is $6.79, and it’s a bargain for the couch co-op fun for up to four players. Going back to the Star Wars PC days of yore, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is the lowest I’ve seen at $5.99. You can read what Chris thought in his review to see if it holds up to what you remember. Tropico 6 (review) lets you be the leader your people need for only $29.99, and it’s a lot of fun. There are others, but I’ll end with Dying Light for only $9.99. It’s a great take on zombies, and the sequel is on the horizon.
I’ll list all the games for sale with pricing in this handy, searchable table. It’s for the US, but it looks like many of the same games are on sale in the EU. As always, if you see a deal or a game worth a look, suggest your favorite depreciated gems from the list down in the comments. You never know when someone is looking for something good, and sharing is caring.
