Winking Entertainment has announced today that its upcoming sci-fi survival game, Mars Alive, will be releasing on PSVR later this month after a successful Kickstarter campaign.
According to the game’s description, Mars Alive is a semi-open world adventure game set on Mars and it offers around eight hours of gameplay – equal to a day’s work, as per the press release. Why is that important? Because you’ll be doing work!
The game offers multiple endings as you uncover the conspiracy on Mars, but you’ll also be able to tend to your crops and manage your resources to survive.
From the press release:
“Mars Alive provides players a complete planting simulation system, allowing players to grow a variety of
crops, control the temperature, humidity, and water alternately in the cabin. Players can choose to be a
happy farmer on Mars, watering and fertilizing plants every day, making your crop into a few side dishes
and leaving all the tasks alone.”
While you could always just stay in relative safety and tend to your crops and live out your own version of Matt Damon’s The Martian, you’ll have to venture outside and go exploring if you want to get the most out of the story.
There’s no solid release date as of yet. Winking Entertainment has only said that the game will release on PSVR in two weeks, so it could be anytime within the next couple of weeks.
