The strategy hybrid game Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is receiving an expansion on July 30th. Seed of Evil will bring a new herbaceous threat, hours of new gameplay across new maps such as the Hall of Electric Coffins, new gear, new enemies, improved mutations, more story that starts after the end of the original game, and a new character, Big Khan. He is a mutant moose with special moves like Flame Puke and Ground Pound. He’s tough, and, although he’s seen his share of weird things as he’s crossed the Zone, he’s never seen anything like this.
If you already own the game, you can buy the expansion separately. I don’t have a PS4 price, but Steam is charging $14.99 for the PC version. If I had to guess, we’ll probably be paying $19.99, but I would love to be wrong. If you haven’t played Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, it’s discounted to $24.49 for the Double Discounts sale right now. You can also pick up the deluxe edition of the game for $39.99 with all the content on July 30th.
One of the games I regret not playing last year is Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. You can check out Jeremy’s review to see why. With the addition of stealth elements, it is trying to do something new with strategy games, and it appears to appeal to both hardcore armchair squad leaders and newcomers alike.
Check out the trailer to see all the leafy evil in action. The expansion, Seeds of Evil, will be available on July 30th.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
