I have no idea what’s being said in the latest trailer for the Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster, because it’s entirely in Japanese. That doesn’t stop me from appreciating it. The look is definitely a step down from the shiny next-gen trailers we’re seeing now, but Nocturne’s art style, character, and demon designs are still excellent years after release.
If you’re looking for another look into the game’s story and visuals and you don’t mind not understanding any of the dialogue, it’s a great way to spend three minutes. Sure, Atlus will probably release the same trailers in English in a few months, but I’ll watch those too. Until then, we only have to wait for the spring of 2021 until this cult classic RPG hits the PS4.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
