Today the embargo for Red Dead Redemption 2 lifted and the internet was awash with reviews from numerous publications. You may have noticed that we were missing among the crowd. Or maybe you didn’t notice…
Unfortunately Rockstar didn’t send us a copy of the game to review. Word on the street has it that you need to have been in review game for at least 10 years before you’ll even be considered. And that there’s an initiation process where you’re quizzed on Rockstar trivia by the Houser bros. And that you need to prove you’re worth by completing that train mission with Big Smoke in San Andreas in just one attempt. We’re not there yet, but we’re working on it.
Basically, we didn’t get a copy of the game and we couldn’t source an early copy from elsewhere, so we’ll be playing the game on release. It means that in order for the reviewer to give a fully formed opinion on the game, you’re going to have to wait around a week. We’ll have some article and videos and bits and bobs between now and then of course, but our scored review won’t be ready until next weekend at the earliest.
Keep checking in with Pure PlayStation and we’ll do our best to keep you entertained and informed on all things Red Dead Redemption 2.

Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
