Thatgamecompany, the development studio behind the critically acclaimed Journey, will be releasing its social adventure game Sky: Children of Light on PS4 and other consoles in the near future, according to the company’s co-founder, Jenova Chen.
Originally announced at last year’s E3 for iOS and PC, Sky: Children of the Light has since released on iOS devices to strong reviews, but it’ll soon be hitting PS4 where it will, hopefully, garner as much praise as it already has.
Speaking to MCV, Thatgamecompany’s Jenova Chen stated that Sky: Children of the Light will come to consoles in the future, specifically mentioning PS4 and Nintendo Switch. It was also revealed that Sky: Children of the Light will be completely cross-play across all devices, meaning you’ll be able to play on your PS4 and buddy up with friends and strangers on Nintendo Switch, PC, and even mobile.
Cross-play has become a big thing over the last couple of years and it’s great to see developers, big and small, embrace it, even if it means the children are no longer safe…
