We admire those of you who decided to throw your real lives away (again) and jump back into the vast world of Skyrim. Even though it released last year, you may still be trying to complete the myriad of quests that spring up in the game. Thankfully, Bethesda keeps releasing patches, and a 1.05 was released today.
There is not a whole lot of info, but we appreciated that they “Sony-fied” the patch with the classic “general stability and performance enhancements”. If you enjoy slow time effects or a 144hz monitor, those have also been improved.
The full patch notes (such as they are) are pretty vague in telling us exactly what’s going on with the game, but here they are nonetheless:
Skyrim: Special Edition Update 1.05 PS4 Patch Notes
- General stability and performance improvements
- Fixed an issue where Slow Time effects weren’t behaving properly
- Better support for 144hz displays (PC)
- Fixed issue with being unable to log into Bethesda.net

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
