Any snooker fans in the house? Odds are that a fair few who are reading this are avid fans of smashing balls into other balls. Snooker is a big deal and it doesn’t get its justice in the world of video games, but Cherry Pop Games is looking to bring things back in line with Snooker Nation Championship 2019 on PS4.
The indie outfit is set to release Snooker Nation Championship 2019 on PS4 and Xbox One on April 16th, 2019. It’s going to be a cheap and cheerful affair, too, as the game will only cost £7.49/$10.99, though there’s an extra 20% discount for PS Plus subscribers. Not too shabby, then.
A budget price usually means a naff game but Cherry Pop Games is confident in its product. The game boasts solo play in a variety of game modes, as well as online multiplayer and collectibles. Developed using Unreal Engine 4, the developers say that Snooker Nation Championship is “the most realistic snooker simulation from the WSC game series, played in pixel perfect championship venues.” A tall order, perhaps, but if the trailer is anything to go by, I’d say they’re already there in terms of visuals. Still, the proof is in the pudding, so stay tuned for our review in the near future.
