It was only a couple of weeks ago that we got giddy at the thought of EA bringing its seminal sci-fi adventure franchise to the modern consoles with a Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster, but we’re already regretting the excitement.
In an interview with IGN, EA executive Peter Moore let slip that maybe EA isn’t too bothered about making an easy buck off a remaster trilogy and that the publisher and BioWare are both focused on Mass Effect: Andromeda and that “it’s gonna be magnificent.”
“Can we make an easy buck on remastering Mass Effect? Yes. Have a thousand people asked me that? Yes, they have” claimed Moore before going on to say that EA and BioWare “want to go forward. There’s a little thing called Mass Effect: Andromeda that we’re totally focused on at BioWare.”
So is it coming or is it not? We’re not entirely sure. There’s definitely some poor communication going on within the top-ranks of EA as another executive heavily hinted that Commander Shepard’s past exploits could be released on PS4. What’s going on, EA? We want answers, and we want them soon-ish. Preferably on a Sunday.
Are you still clinging on to hope for a Mass Effect remaster, or like BioWare, are you “totally focused” on Mass Effect: Andromeda? Have a whinge and a moan in the comments section below.
