Sony has announced today that it is releasing s brand new version of the PlayStation App for mobile devices. In fact, the app is available to download and install now if you haven’t already got it, otherwise you will have your current app automatically update.
The new version changes the entire look and feel of the app and makes it a little easier to navigate. It’s a little more Facebook-ish in how it works – and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Friends – View friends and their online statuses as well as discover ‘players youmay know’ or ‘who to follow.’
Profile – Learn more about your friends and share more about you with richerprofiles which reveal your games list, joined communities, activities, friends and more.
Notifications – Easily check messages from PlayStation, game and party invitations, game alerts, friend requests, events and more.
