Bad messaging has always been a problem for Sony, and the dawn of a new era of console gaming won’t change that.
Earlier today it was reported that Sony had clarified that the newly announced Spider-Man: Miles Morales game coming to PS5 is an expansion for the base game that will also release on the PlayStation 5 this holiday season.
Insomniac Games has since taken to Twitter with a differing statement, stating that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a standalone game, and that more information will be shared soon.

So which is it? We’ll have to wait and see. But if it really was as clear cut as that, surely Sony and Insomniac Games would be able to read from the same page when it comes to talking to their consumers.

Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
